Went to NYC (1st time ever) for the Today Show that was supposed to
happen on Labor Day 08 for the release of The Block. Slept on the streets
at Rockefeller Plaza from Thursday til Sunday. Found out that the show
had been postponed because of the hurricane that was supposed to hit New Orleans. While standing there trying to figure out what to do, a friend and I
spotted Robo across the street hiding. He saw us and waved us over to him.
After talking with him and having a smoke, he told us what hotel the guys were
at. We went there and met/saw everyone but Donnie.
His flight was delayed getting in. Hung out with Robo, Zach & Danny for
about 45 minutes in the lobby just chillin and talking. Finally went back to
hotel to sleep. Next day was bummed about the show being cancelled but we
had to get in line for the Best Buy event. While sitting in line, my friends
decided to go to the hotel and see if Donnie was there. I stayed behind and
kept our spots but I joked with my friend that if she saw
Donnie to have him call me. About an hour later, I was sitting there texting
and I got a call from my friends cell. I figured I’d just call her back. After
sending my text, I called her and asked her what she needed…ummm I got
b*tched out lol She told me to check my voicemail because my man had
called me. OMG For real…my heart started beating hard even though I was
thinking she just had some random dude off the street call and mess with me.
I called my voicemail and when I heard his voice…I was freaking lol He left a
long voicemail and after listening to it a few times, I got my makeup (as best
I could in the dark on the street lol) and grabbed a friend and we headed
to the hotel. I was so freaking nervous. I had been to a concert in 1989 but I
had nose bleed seats and never got to meet any of them. Walking into the
hotel I was looking around for another friend when the heavens opened up and
light poured down on my man lol I had to stand there for a few seconds and
collect myself. He only had maybe 3 or 4 girls around. PERFECT! My friend
was like “Hey, Donnie…this is the girl you called earlier.” She didn’t say my
name or anything and it was like his ears perked up and he looked at me
and smiled. He walked over to me with his arms stretched out and was like
“Jenn! Why didn’t you answer my call” Dear lord I was in heaven lol IT was
great. Actually got to stand there and talk to him for about 10 minutes without
being interrupted. The man just kept stroking my cheeks and hugging me
and calling me baby. GAH!! Can we say close to an “O” on the marble floor
of a five star hotel! LOL Seriously though…best night ever.
